

Deer

Leave at least 8 inches of hide behind the shoulder (fig 2A)

Never cut the troat, brisket or neck.

Avoid dragging the animal if at all possible. If it is necessary, drag by theantlers and keep the head neck and shoulders off of the ground.

Cut the hide around the body about 8 - 10 inches behind the shoulders.

Cut the skin around the legs just above the knees.
-
Make a cut up the back of the legs to the previous cut around the body.
-
Peel the skin forward to the head.
-
Cut through the neck and spinal column about 3- 4 inches below the head/neck union.

Keep the cape cold and dry.
Turkey
-
Do not skin or gut.
-
Lay turkey completely flat in a black trash bag and freeze whole.

Make sure tail feathers are not bent.
Fish
-
Do not skin or gut.

Wrap in a wet towel.

Place flat in an air tight freezer bag and freeze whole.
All other animals
-
Do not skin or gut.
-
Freeze whole in a black trash bag.
